Pernod Ricard, the multinational alcoholic beverages manufacturing company, has recruited total rewards & talent management advisor and collaborator, Namita Bharadwaj, to head the compensations and benefits function in India.
Bharadwaj brings almost 19 years of experience in HR to the Company. With an MBA in marketing and human resources from the Management Development Institute, in 2003, Namita Bharadwaj began her professional career with Quark, the Michigan-based computer software company, where she joined as a senior HR analyst. During her three and a half year stint with Quark, she worked in the learning and development (L&D) vertical before moving to a role in compensation and performance management, with significant exposure to MI activities/processes.
After a brief, seven-month stint with professional training & coaching company, People Factor, she moved over to Vertex Data Science where she took on the role of manager-compensation & benefits and performance management. After three and half successful years with Vertex she moved to Mercer HR Consulting, where she spent the majority of her career. In her 11-year tenure with Mercer, she undertook roles across industries and across total rewards benchmarking, talent management advisory, and account management.
With her current appointment to the senior HR role at Pernod Ricard India, she will be responsible for aiding the Company in strengthening its total rewards and performance management strategy functions, an area where Bharadwaj has significant experience.
Apple Staff to Present Proof of Booster Jab
All eligible employees of Apple will be permitted four weeks’ time to get their booster jabs. If they fail to do so, they will have no option but to undergo frequent tests to enter any Apple office or retail store with effect from February 15, 2022.
Commencing January 24, all employees of Apple who are yet to be vaccinated or have not submitted proof of vaccination will have to mandatorily present a COVID-negative test result before gaining entry into the workplace.
Apple sent off an official memo to employees, which informed them that the efficacy of the initial series of vaccines is fading, and with the Omicron variant spreading fast, a booster shot has become essential to stay protected.
In December 2021, Apple made masking mandatory at all Apple retail stores in the US and temporarily closed locations due to the rising cases of infection in the workforce. It had also gone ahead and postponed the ‘return to office’ deadline. Additionally, Apple announced that it would provide a $1,000 bonus to employees to fulfil their work-from-home requirements.
At the time, Apple employees were informed that the plan for hybrid work was being pushed further, and that a date was yet to be decided to implement the same. However, Apple offices continued to be open in various locations, including China.
Apple has been encouraging employees to take their vaccine jabs as well as booster shots to keep themselves and those around them safe.
The bonus offered was estimated to help the employees make their workspace at home more comfortable and efficient.
As soon as the company implements ‘return-to-office’ employees will probably be required to come in to office on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, and work home for the remaining two days.
